If STIX has been turned off, e.g. because of an issue on the satellite, we need create a PDOR to turn it back on.

1 Generating a PDOR

  • Open STIX-Starlet
  • In top toolbar, click Request -> New Request
  • Click Request -> PDOR (under Mode)
  • Set start and end time
  • Enter telecommand sequences (recommended) by clicking the Add Sequence button
    • Alternatively enter individual telecommands by clicking the Add Telecommand button

2 Telecommands for Turning STIX On

Below are the telecommand sequences for turning STIX back on. Extra things can be done as part of the PDOR, e.g. changing onboard parameters. But this is the minimal list.

  • AIXF011A (Turns STIX on and puts it into Safe mode)
  • AIXF032A (Switches from safe to nominal mode)
  • AIXF400A (Enables calibration accumulation)
